Town of Ipswich Plumbing and Gas Inspector: Kevin Lombard
Plumbing and Gas Permits are applied for online. Select "Online Permitting" top left menu on Building Department Web page. Questions, please call 978-356-6605 extension 3.
Paper applications must use State form and include: the State workers comp affidavit, a copy of your license and the State required certificate of insurance.
Plumbing and Gas inspections are conducted on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday starting at 9:00 AM.
To schedule an inspection call the inspection request line at 978-356-6605 extension 1 and leave all requested information.
Inspection requests left by 8 a.m. on inspection days can usually be done that day. We will call you only if we cannot honor your request. There are no "on time" inspections.
Office Hours
Office hours to meet with the inspector are by appointment only scheduled 24 hours in advance on Mondays and Thursdays starting at 9:00 AM.
