The Department of Public Works' mission is to plan, build, operate, maintain and support transportation, parks and cemeteries to sustain natural systems essential to a safe and comfortable life and afterlife in Ipswich. The Department works with town employees and residents to ensure that the present and future way of life in Ipswich is consistent with their needs and desire to want to continue to work and live in Ipswich.

Holiday Trash and Recycling Delays
Due to the Memorial Day holiday on 5/29/23 Trash and Recycling pickup will be delayed one day this week. Please put your trash and recycling at the curb by 6am on the day after your regular pickup day. -
Plains Rd and Old Right Rd Paving Update
The Town has contracted with Nocella Paving for the repaving of Plains Rd and a portion of Old Right Rd between Rt 1 and Plains Rd. The work is scheduled to start Monday June 5, 2023. Please plan accordingly as the work may result in traffic delays in Read on... -
County Street Bridge One-Way
