Troop members Abi D., Anna M., Grace T., and Katherine F. hiked the 1.5 mile Turkey Hill Conservation Area loop trail, and gathered elevations and trail distances along the way. Those features were added to a map that includes Points of Interest, which were part of a Sustainability Scholars project completed by former Ipswich High School student Duke Kriksceonaitis, who worked with former AmeriCorp member Christine Viola. The map shows the elevation changes and distances traveled from the start of the trail, around the loop, and back to the beginning. The QR code shown on the map links to the description of the Points of Interest that can be seen along the route. The map can be viewed by clicking the link below, and will be posted at the parking area kiosk at 31 Pineswamp Road. The Open Space Program is grateful to the Girl Scouts for their work on this project and for their interest in improving the information for people visiting Turkey Hill Conservation Area.
