[ARCHIVED] Dedication of Downtown Riverwalk Extension

On Friday, June 21st, at 6:30 pm, the Town will hold a ceremony to officially dedicate the extension of the Downtown Riverwalk.The ceremony will be held on site, along the southern bank of the Ipswich River off of Union Street behind the EBSCO parking lot and just west of the existing riverwalk. A copy of the program is attached.

At the ceremony, Town officials will recount the project history and acknowledge the many persons and organizations who made it possible. Also, a representative of the Ipswich Rotary Club will dedicate the memorial bench funded by the Rotary in memory of long-time Rotarian Ben Collins. Present at the dedication will be members of the Ipswich Select Board, Riverwalk Task Force, and the Ipswich Rotary Club; town staff; the project designer; and the project contractor.

Musical entertainment and refreshments will be provided between 6 pm and the start of the ceremony at 6:30. During that time period attendees may view the extended riverwalk and talk with Town officials, staff, and members of the Downtown Riverwalk Task Force about the project.

Refreshments and musical entertainment will be provided between 6:00 and 6:30 pm. The ceremony will start promptly at 6:30, and conclude by 7:00 p.m.
