[ARCHIVED] Community Development Plan Public Workshop

Ipswich Community Development Plan Update

This spring, the Town of Ipswich and Ipswich Community Development Plan Committee began work on updating the Town's Community Development Plan (CDP) -- a long-range visionary strategic plan designed to guide future planning efforts and a community's overall physical evolution. Ipswich's CDP will focus on four main elements: Housing; Economic Development; Transportation; and Public Infrastructure and Climate Change Resiliency. In addition to an analysis of current and future needs across these four areas, the CDP will contain a town-wide vision, goals, and implementation strategies for community development for the next ten years.

On May 7th 2019, the Community Development Plan Committee held their first public forum, facilitated by project consultants Jennifer Goldson and Anna Callahan of JM Goldson LLC. The first forum focused on identifying key issues and challenges as well as what the community envisions and hopes for in the next ten years.

On Thursday, September 26th, the CDP Committee will hold the second public forum. JM Goldson LLC will present the survey results and report back to the community on key trends and challenges identified through the needs assessment. Participants will have an opportunity to provide input on the draft vision statement and help prioritize needs.
