Upgrades to the water main beneath the Ipswich River will be completed between November 12th and the 27th. The project involves installation of a structural liner inside the existing water main. This project was competitively bid and awarded to Joseph P. Cardillo & Son.
Travel on Mill Road/Highland Avenue in the area of the bridge will be restricted to one lane at times during the project. Please allow extra time if you are traveling through this area.
Water service to area residents is not expected to be interrupted. At the completion of the project, the water main will be thoroughly flushed. This may result in temporary low water pressure and dirty water. If customers experience dirty water, please flush cold water fixtures until the water is clear.
