Crews were able to achieve a temporary water main fix last night in the vicinity of Topsfield Rd at Peabody St. We are currently developing a strategy for a permanent water main repair to be done tomorrow (Friday, 5/15).
As part of planning for this repair, testing and exercising of valves will be needed and customers in the highlighted areas may experience temporary intermittent water service this afternoon (Thursday, 5/14).
Due to the extent of the repair needed, it is likely that customers in the highlighted area will be WITHOUT WATER SERVICE for most of the day TOMORROW. Please plan ahead if in this area by storing extra water tonight in water bottles, jugs, etc. If your property borders the highlighted area and you are unsure if you will be impacted, please prepare for the potential to lose water service.
