and directional and identity signs within the town center. The new signs, all of which are color coordinated, and many of which are unified by the slogan "Bridging History" and a rendering of the Choate Bridge, will direct visitors to points of interest in Ipswich, such as the downtown, public parking, and historic homes. One of the signs will be a large kiosk that features a business directory map; it will be installed on Market Street opposite the post office. Installation of the signs is expected in late spring or early summer.
The wayfinding sign program is one of the key elements of the Town's economic development efforts. A second round of wayfinding signs will be installed in the late fall or early spring of next year, provided that its capital improvement funding is approved by the Annual Town Meeting this May.
