The May 10, 2016 Annual Town Meeting referred an issue to a committee called the Article 20 Committee. Its purpose is to study what if any action should be taken by some future town meeting regulating the discharge of firearms in the Town of Ipswich.
The Article 20 Committee will have seven members: the Chief of Police, one of the Selectmen, a member of the Finance Committee, and four citizens to be appointed by the Town Moderator who are knowledgeable and experienced in the discharge of firearms as related to public health and safety.
