[ARCHIVED] Presentation on Tickborne and Mosquito Related Diseases

The Rockport Board of Health is hosting a presentation on tickborne and mosquito related infectious diseases including the Zika Virus and Lyme Disease with Dr. Alfred DeMaria, Jr., on Tuesday, July 19th from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at the Rockport High School Auditorium, 24 Jerden's Lane, Rockport. Dr. DeMaria is the state’s leading infectious disease specialist; he is the Medical Director of the Bureau of Infectious Disease and Laboratory Sciences in the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and State Epidemiologist for Massachusetts. This informative presentation is free to the public. Come learn the facts, myths, and precautions with respect to tick- and mosquito-borne diseases and illnesses, in particular on the North Shore where ticks and mosquitoes are prevalent.
