The crew, led by Maggie Brown, the Open Space Program’s Land Steward AmeriCorps member, spent the day at Strawberry Hill where the plant has tried to take hold. Since 2008 the Town has assisted in the effort locally, by leading and organizing volunteer work days at Town properties where the plant has been spotted. And the effort appears to be successful because each year less of the invasive plant returns. Many thanks to volunteers Molly Sullivan and Lindsay Peter from AmeriCorps SCA, and Christian Schulter and Will Marnik from MassAudubon who took time to come and help!
