The art work, which was accepted by the Town earlier this year, is a donation from resident Richard Silverman in commemoration of Ipswich's artistic community. It was designed by noted sculptor Chris Williams of Essex. The first step will be the installation of the sculpture's base, which will placed below grade and covered with topsoil. The sculpture itself will be made largely in the Chris Williams' studio, and then brought to the lower Green in late fall for installation. For more information, call 978-356-6607, ext. 1.
