Christine is the third MassLIFT/Americorps Land Steward the Town's Open Space Program has shared over the past five years with Essex County Greenbelt. In her dual capacity she will be providing stewardship needs, working with volunteers, and providing educational opportunities on conservation land in both Ipswich and around Essex County. Christine comes to the position with a wealth of experience gained from her previous year spent serving with Americorp Cape Cod, after graduating from North Carolina State University with a degree in Environmental Science. She will be assisting the Open Space Program on improving natural resource conditions on Town land; working with Ipswich High School Sustainability Students developing a self-guided walking tour; enhancing public access; and overseeing annual monitoring of conservation restrictions during her service year. Having Christine on board will be a tremendous asset to the Town, and she looks forward to getting to know Ipswich and the treasured places we're here to protect.
