The Board of Selectmen has asked the Government Study Committee (GSC) to review specific sections of 1966 Town Charter and bylaws. Including the following:
1. Role of Board of Selectmen in Committee/Board/Commission appointments and hiring decisions;
2. Role of Town Manager in Committee/Board/Commission appointments;
3. Role of Electric Light Department Commissioners and Town Manager;
4. Miscellaneous operational sections.
Citizens with comments can contact the Government Study Committee at: ipswichgsc@gmail.com. Further, citizens interested in serving on the GSC should complete a Citizen Request for Appointment form and return to the Board of Selectmen's office.
