[ARCHIVED] 3/22/17 Site visit scheduled for Farley Brook water quality improvements

Project Description: The wetlands will be expanded from approximately 6,188 sf to approximately 17,934 sf with a series of open pools and adjacent wetlands. An adjustable weir will be installed in Farley Brook to divert base flow into the wetlands for treatment purposes. Higher stream flows will pass over the weir and remain in the brook. The project is being undertaken as an Ecological Restoration Limited Project pursuant to the Wetlands Protection Act Regulations (310 CMR 10.00).

The project requires the filing of an ENF pursuant to 301 CMR 11.03(3)(b)(1)(d), alteration of 5,000 or more sf of wetlands. The project has received State Financial Assistance from MassDEP’s 319 Nonpoint Source Pollution Grant Program. A site visit will be held to discuss the project and view the site. The public is welcome to attend.

MEPA site visit scheduled for: Wednesday March 22, 2017 at 10:00 AM. We will meet in the parking lot at 78 Central Street.
