Eligible
repairs include
handicapped
accessibility,
roof, heating system,
doors
and windows, interior
and exterior painting, electrical
and plumbing upgrades, structural
repairs, lead
paint testing & removal, and energy
efficiency improvements.
Loans
are available for $10,000 to $30,000. If
you stay in your home for fifteen years after the rehab work is done, the loan
will be forgiven. If you sell or
transfer your house before fifteen years, the loan must be re-paid.
