[ARCHIVED] October 30th Power Outages - UPDATED

UPDATE

The Department's priorities in restoring power have been to fix major Town-wide circuits first, followed by circuits that serve entire neighborhoods, and then issues that are only affecting individual households. At this time we have fixed all Town-wide circuits and are working on neighborhood-level circuits.

If you have a site-specific issue (ex. a tree that has fallen on the wires that run from the street to only your house) it is unlikely your power will be restored tonight.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as our crews work to repair the extensive damage to the Town's electric infrastructure.

To all Ipswich Electric Light Department customers:

Please be aware we are currently experiencing several widespread power outages in Ipswich due to last night's storm. Our crews have been deployed since 2:00AM and are working to restore power.

We are hoping to have most outages fixed by tonight but the exact timeline may vary depending on your area and the severity of the damage to poles and wires.

To report an outage please use our Utilities Contact Form and select the "Other" option, or call our office at (978) 356-6635. Please be patient if you call our office as we are currently receiving a high volume of calls.

We will post updates to our website as they become available.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
