ANNOUNCEMENT


THE TOWN OF IPSWICH DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT

IS SEEKING VOLUNTEERS FOR THE

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PLAN STEERING COMMITTEE


The Department of Planning and Community Development is seeking volunteers for the Community Development Plan Steering Committee. The Committee will be working with the Department, Consultant(s), Town Officials, Town Staff and others to guide the development of the Community Development Plan.


The Community Development Plan will be a guidance document that will contain a statement about what Town residents, businesses, institutions and others want Ipswich to be like in 10-20 years. The Plan will also contain a road map- action plan- for achieving this vision. The Plan will focus on, but not necessarily be limited to, housing, transportation, the economy, land use, open space, recreation, cultural and natural resources, and climate change resiliency.


At this time the Department of Planning and Community Development is seeking 3 additional members for the Committee. If you are interested in serving, please complete and submit the attached form, Request for Appointment to a Board or Committee, and submit it to Ethan Parsons in person, by mail or by email, at the contact information below.
