Board of Selectmen Appointments – Notice of Positions Available on Boards and Committees
The following board and committee positions are available:

School Committee 1 – full member*

*this seat is the unexpired term of a School Committee member who resigned. The person appointed to this term will serve until the 2016 town election.

Information regarding the duties and responsibilities of the School Committee can be found here, http://secure.ipsk12.net:737/OldWebsite/District/dis_sup_pol_man.html#B and as generally outlined in Chapter 71 of the Massachusetts General Laws. The School Committee typically meets the first and third Thursday of each month with additional sub-committee meetings during the budget and Town Meeting process.

Interested residents should submit a complete application package including: cover letter, resume and Board and Committee request form (form is available online, http://www.ipswichma.gov/265/Boards-Committees-Commissions). Hardcopies may be submitted to the Board of Selectmen’s Office, 25 Green Street, Ipswich, MA 01938, or electronically to jenniferb@ipswich-ma.gov. Additional information can be obtained by contacting Jennifer Breaker at the email address above. Applications will be accepted until September 14, 2015 at 4:00 PM firm deadline.
